Dear Visitors and
Members,
The Spotsylvania
County Republican Committee (SCRC) warmly welcomes you to learn about
Spotsylvania County and get involved in the political process.
You need not be an SCRC or GOP Party member to participate
in Spotsylvania's election process or to volunteer with a
campaign.
It's a great way
to make new friends and enter into an arena where working together
as neighbors to solve Spotsylvania's issues will make our county
the best it can be!
We will gladly
share information with you about how you can best explore your
civic opportunities and rights as an American voter in
Spotsylvania County, without obligation to join the committee.
Just contact us
to get started. The best way to learn the most quickly is to
attend our monthly (public) meeting and introduce yourself.
This county
Republican Party is pro-police, pro-fire & rescue and
pro-education. Our active
members and our locally-minded policies are for open government
and accountable spending. This fair and open process
stands to benefit everyone regardless of party affiliation.
We always advocate for fully funding necessary core services
that provide for the needs of all.
We still believe,
as our founding fathers did, that a smaller government is
better government and that decisions in our daily lives are best
left to individuals and families— not a faceless bigger government.
Again, welcome to
the SCRC web site! We value your comments and suggestions.
Most of all, we encourage your participation. I look forward to
serving for you, and with you this year.
In His service,

Bryce Reeves, 2008-2010 Chairman
Spotsylvania County Republican Committee (SCRC)
Feb. 1, 2010:

The 7th District Convention is called off. We
will not have to elect delegates to the 7th District
Convention at our

District Chairman.
However, Spotsylvania County will have an
election as listed above for Chairman of the County
Committee and electing delegates to the 1st District
Convention to elect the 1st District Chairman on May 15,
2010 [official
Call here].
Download the 1st
District Delegate application form [here].
Note the
deadline for the form's return.
Attention
Spotsylvanians:
You're invited! The
2010 SRC meetings will be held at the Salem Church Library
on Salem Church Road
(aka Leavells Road to the south) and no longer at the
Harrison Road Community Center, unless otherwise announced
in advance via this web site (such as special elections,
canvasses, primaries, etc,) or an official meeting call to
members.
The
public is always invited to attend our meetings and get to
know us. Then, we encourage you to get involved in the
many community-strengthening projects that the local Republican committee
engages in throughout
every year.
Most meetings remain on the fourth Thursday as usual, but
not all— please check the Next
Meeting button above to be sure when and where
we're meeting.

PATRIOTS!
Please watch
the following video which explains the differences in
government styles. Republicans (and Democrats!) should all understand
the vast differences between being a Democracy and a
Republic.
Which are we in America (think about the words in
the Pledge of Allegiance)?
Can you explain the difference to someone
before watching this? ...be sure you can afterward.
