OOPS! You missed it!
Among the year-round activities, training sessions, lobbying
and meetings we hold was the annual Stars and Stripes Spectacular on Sunday,
June 28th, 2009 at the Spotsylvania County courthouse
complex and government center. An estimated 30,000 people
attended the event and stayed for the fireworks (sponsored
by Vakos Development company.) Our booth gave out
thousands of items in support of 2009's candidates.
We held raffles, sold customized coffee and gave out water,
bumper tickers, candy, balloons, campaign signs, t-shirts,
literature and spread the good word of the Spotsylvania GOP
and its committee members.
We were also honored to have Congressman Rob Wittman with us
the majority of the day! What a help he was— Thank you
Congressman Wittman!

George Allen was our guest of honor March 2, 2009 at Lake Anna Winery for a reception
dinner and fundraiser to benefit the Spotsylvania GOP and
Louisa GOP Committees!

Newt Gingrich was our special guest speaker at a joint fundraiser with
the Stafford Republicans on February 12, 2009. More than 500 enjoyed a
lovely meal and multiple guest speakers including Eric Cantor, Bill Bolling,
Bob McDonnell, and Spotsylvania GOP Chairman Bryce Reeves.
