The Free Lance-Star misses the point

Well, the Free Lance-Star noticed that we have a recount in the Circuit Court Clerk race, but they forgot one of the most important aspects of the recount.

Nowhere in Dan Telvock's entire piece does it mention that, by state law, Metzger and his staff would have sole custody of the ballots.

Am I the only one who thinks that fails the smell test?
